This adventure departs each day at Sunrise, weather permitting. After meeting at our launch site, we will check everyone in, perform final safety checks and briefings and prepare the balloon for the mornings adventure. Once inflated, our guests will board the gentle giants and we will depart on the adventure of a lifetime. After about an hour in the air, we will land, pack up, and return to our launch site for a post flight celebration of the days adventure. The whole adventure will take approximately 3 hours, of which, you will spend approximately 1 hour in the air. This is the perfect bucket list adventure. Our primary goals are to ensure your safety, and ensure you have the adventure of a lifetime. Join us for your adventure of a lifetime today!
We begin by meeting you at our launch site, which is right on the west side of the Rio Grande River. Once you arrive, our staff will check you in and ensure you are introduced to your pilot and chase crew for the day. We will then perform final safety and weather checks and begin preparing the balloon for inflation. Once inflated, we will launch and fly for about an hour down the river valley here in Albuquerque.
During the flight, depending upon the direction of the winds on flight day, you will have great views of the Sandia Mountains to the east, Petroglyph national monument to the west, the volcano’s that surround the town, and mount Taylor off in the distance. We have a chase crew that follows us during the flight and will meet us shortly after landing. After we pack the equipment, we will return to our launch site for a champagne ceremony and a light snack. We always have non-alcoholic alternatives available as well. Each person that flew will receive a commemorative flight certificate to celebrate their adventure. The mornings adventure will take approximately 3 and 1/2 hours and you will be in the air for approximately 1 hour of that time.
